Missed

So, I really have missed writing blogs, whether or not that many people read them.  I think what I have decided to do is aim for 2-3 blogs a week.  I think I can at least manage two :-)   I can set aside time on specified days of the week to write something.  Hopefully, giving me some days in between will allow my SLOW brain to learn whatever it is God is trying to teach me for that day! HAHA.  It takes me several times of messing up sometimes, or freaking out, to actually learn the lesson.  Sad, i know, but its the truth.  For today, I have something on my heart I want to share.  I am sure I have written this before, but we could all use the reminder.

“God cares about the RELATIONSHIP, not the routine”

All of us are busy.  All of us forget to read the Bible some days of the week, heck, I think I have had a week where I didn’t sit much at all.  It is awful, I know, but God still loves me.  And God still loves you too.  I  have had people come to me saying they feel guilty if they don’t sit and read their Bible every day.  Yes, God wants us to spend time in His word, but he cares more that we love him and are in a meaningful relationship with Him.  What good does it do if someone reads the Bible every day, but then goes off and doesn’t ever think about the Lord again the rest of the day?  what kind of relationship is that!?  God definately would rather have someone scatterbrained, like me, who forgets occasionally, but truly desires an intimate relationship with our Father.  THAT, is WAY more important than simply reading, “to read”.  God never wants us to do anything out of guilt, or feeling like we HAVE to or are SUPPOSED to.  That is no way to live life.  So, let go of those guilty feelings and enjoy the relationship! :-)   Once you do that, you will find that the desire to study His Word, may grow also.  You know, the same can be true for mommies too!! :-)   We all suffer from mommy guilt if we think we messed up, whether we are worried our kids aren’t eating right, dressing right, in the right car seat, etc. . .but if we can just RELAX (I know, easier said than done) and ENJOY the relationship with our children, I am pretty sure they won’t care if we forget to change their diaper every once in awhile :-) hahahah GOD BLESS! It’s good to be back!
