Weekend Update
Ok, so its getting harder and harder to remember to blog, but hey I have a baby using up my brain cells, at least I like to think I can use that excuse
I think it is true, actually. . .
Anyway, this weekend was great. Andrew and I had a really nice time together. The One Prayer series at church is pretty awesome. I really enjoyed the message this past week. The Lord is truly blessing Andrew and I and are soon to be family. I really feel we are getting even closer lately. We are nitpicking less and just really enjoying the time we have together. Something Andrew mentioned that may help in that is we have things in our future to look forward too. Of course, Baby Katie being one of them, in which I now have less than 100 days left, woohoo! The other is the upcoming move to Maryland and Andrew transitioning into ministry. I told Andrew I think both of these things are helping us because we are both seeing that we will be doing what we feel God calling us to do. Andrew, a minister, planting a church, and me a wife and mother. Both of these are truly amazing callings and I wouldn’t trade either of them for anything. One of my favorite Bible verses is “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4. Now, this verse isn’t saying everything we want will be ours. Notice is says DELIGHT in the Lord. This means that our focus is set to Him and to follow him. When we do that, we cannot HELP but have our desires mold and change into what God has planned for us, and we can know without a shadow of a doubt, God will fulfill what he puts in our hearts to do. I went to collge for Meteorology, but may never get back into it. I don’t mind. I know the first and most important thing God is calling me to do is to be a godly wife and mother and I am proud and blessed to take on this job, because it is an important one! I just am praying for the Lord to give me and Andrew the courage, wisdom, grace and mercy to be the best parents we can be for Katie. I am praying we can teach her the ways of the Lord, so she may trust in Christ her Lord at an early age and truly make an impact for Him!
