I hope everyone is having a great morning so far. I have had a nice morning and it is only 8:20! So, I am hoping the day only gets better!
Andrew and I spent a lot of time talking last night about hearing from God. We both truly desire to follow God’s plan for our lives, trusting Him, and obeying Him. However, sometimes that can be hard, AND frustrating, if we don’t feel like we are fully HEARING what that plan exactly is! We are still seeking hard after the Lord on what His plans for us are involving ministry are and are praying the Lord reveals those to us in His timing. . .and that we will have the patience to wait if need be. Please be joining with us in pray as we continue to listen for His voice. Be praying for Andrew as he still works hard in the field of architecture and for the Lord to give him patience and understanding, even on frustrating days in the office and “annoying” projects. I know Andrew also really desires to be able and focus MORE time on ministry and ministry preparation, but it is hard with his current schedule at work. Pray for understanding on his offices part in this and that they truly understand God’s calling for Andrews life and support and encourage that path. As for me, be praying for the Lord to speak clearly to me on what He desires me to do with my music. I have written several songs, and truly enjoy and am blessed by writing, but have not used them. I am praying and seeking God’s guidance on how exaclty He wants me to use them. Pray for me to hear clearly and to obey, not being afraid! Hearing God can sometimes be a process, that unfortunately, can be frustrating and confusing. However, God wants us to continue seeking Him and His face. He will never leave us or forsake us, so if you are not hearing God like you think you should be, don’t give up. Continue seeking His face. He did not abandon you! Although sometimes it may seem that way, God never leaves His children. He does desire a close relationship with us and calls us to put aside anything that may be hindering that relationship from growing. So, please be praying alongside Andrew and I as we seek after God’s face. Pray that if there is something hindering us from truly hearing Him, that we can put it aside. If we are being called to step out in faith on something, pray we have the courage to do so and for us to trust the Lord. Are you being called to step out in faith? Are you frustrated because you don’t feel you are hearing from God? Keep focused, keep trusting Him, keep seeking after Him. Sometimes, the Lord allows us to go through periods of “silence” to teach us more about Himself. He never will abandon us or leave us! So take heart, trust Him and have faith. . .and be praying for Andrew and I to do the same!
God Bless!
